On May 11, 1995, the sponsoring municipalities created the Master Municipal Construction Documents Association - a non-profit association to support the MMCD. The governing board of the association consists of:
- Two representatives from each founding partner organization
- One member from MED Executive appointed as Chair
- One representative from a sponsoring municipality
- Two members from the BC Road Builders and Heavy Construction Association
- Two members from the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of BC
- Two representatives from the Provincial Government
- Past Chair
- Other representatives as appointed by the Board
- The Executive Director
The MMCD Association Board prepares an annual report as follows:
- A summary of past activities of the Board
- A report on the extent of use of the documents
- An outline of the next year's program
- An annual budget and a fee structure to support the coming year’s program
- A five year projected budget showing fee implications
